Attendance Matters
Getting your child to school regularly is one of the most important things you can do to ensure they are successful readers by the end of Grade 3 (and beyond). Why is that important? Research tells us that students who are reading well at that point are more likely to succeed in the rest of their schooling. You can help your child by ensuring they attend school regularly. Regular attendance looks like no more than one day missed each month. If there are challenges in your family, or that your child is facing, please talk with your child’s teacher, the school’s Family Wellness Worker, or principal. We want to help!
